Each year, the students participate in 2 – 3 excursions; the children are accompanied by our staff, take their own lunches and typically spend the day away from the school, returning before home time.

Excursions are usually related to the units of work currently being studied, for example, during our focus on our gardens during 2009, we took the students to the Botanic Gardens where they participated in a class and cultivated their own plant. Exploration of the Botanic Gardens was also a feature of the day.

A tradition at Exford in the last week of Term 2 is a whole school excursion to Geelong to see a live performance, the children have watched and joined in performances of Aladdin and Peter Pan amongst many.
