Language other than English – French
The LOTE subject available at Exford PS is the French language, which is also the language taught at Staughton College, our feeder secondary school. We moved from teaching Australian Sign Language to French from the start of 2021, due to the lack of AUSLAN trained teachers. Our students have been learning some key conversational phrases and vocabulary to be able to have conversational exchanges in French. The children are also learning to count in French and to learn common words and phrases and also are learning about France and French culture.
